Rules
SHOW TIME:
The hall will be opened at 7 AM Saturday morning for set up. Show will start promptly at 8 AM. You will have 5 minutes to set up horses in halter & 10 minutes to set up horses in Performance. Judges will NOT wait for late entries. When classes are closed they are closed.
TABLE SPACE ALLOCATIONS:
Each exhibitor will be entitled to a full table. If you have any special needs (health reasons, etc.) for you to be close to the judging rings, please let the show holder know ASAP. If you need an extra table, the extra table fee will be $20. It looks like this year will be even bigger than last. If you will only be needing 1/2 a table please let the showholder know so that she can plan accordingly.
RAFFLE and AUCTION
Donated items are needed for our raffle & auction. Raffle tickets are $1 each or 6 for $5. All donations will be acknowledged on the website.
LUNCH BREAK
Lunch will be held at approx. 12:30 - 1:30. (We will be holding the fun classes during this time)
CLASS ENTRY LIMITS:
Class limits for halter classes: 4 models per exhibitor per class.
All Performance Classes: 2 models per exhibitor per class.
If you want to enter more then 3 horses in a halter class or more then 2 horses in a performance class you may do so for a $1 fee per extra horse.
TAGS
Please include Horses name, gender, breed and your initials on one side of the tag. Please place the horse with the information on the tag facing up for the judges to see.
CONDUCT
Good sportsmanship should be displayed at all times. Please do not handle other people’s models without their permission. If you break it you bought it! Do not talk to the judges while they are judging. All judges decisions are final. The only animals allowed in the building will be handicapped assistance animals. No alcoholic beverages or smoking is permitted in the show hall. Anyone caught breaking the rules will be asked to leave immediately.
NON-ENTRANTS
Family and friends are very welcome at the show, but please make sure they understand all the rules.
REFUNDS/CANCELLATIONS POLICIES
All refunds will be at the discretion of the show Holder.
EXPLANATION CARDS:
Cards are highly recomended, especially if you have an unusual breed or performance event. No cards larger than 8 1/2″ x 11″ will be allowed.
CLASS RULES
Performance
State on 3 x 5 card what the Performance is.
Western Pleasure-no arena set-ups.
Western Games-Barrels, Poles, etc. If event is not obvious, state what it is on a 3 x 5 card.
Working Western-Cutting, animal required, Roping, animal & rope required. Reined Cowhorse-state maneuver on 3 x 5 card. If event is not obvious, state what it is on a 3 x 5 card.
Other West-Western Bareback, Western Riding, Western Sidesaddle, etc. If event is not obvious, state what it is on a 3 x 5 card.
English Pleasure-no arena set-ups.
Hunter/Jumper/Cross-Country-Appropriate jump is required.
Other English-English Bareback, English Sidesaddle, etc. If event is not obvious, state what it is on a 3 x 5 card.
Halter
Original Finish (OF): Any plastic or resin that is mass produced & has not been changed in any way. Touch ups (ear tips, hoof tips, etc.) are allowed as long as they are not obvious. This includes Breyer, Stone Horses, Hartlands, H & H Winners Circle resins, Northlight reins & BHR resins.
Customized (CM): Any plastic, mass produced resin, or china model that has been altered from its original form. This includes models that have been repainted, have hair mane & tails added or any part of the model repositioned.
Artist Resin (AR): Any horse that was sculpted and produced by an artist, then cast in resin, and finished either by the sculpting artist or by someone else. Original sculptures will also go in this division.
No halter or headgear unless it is molded on the model. If the model is unsteady it may be judged laying down. Owner must be present to turn the model over at judges requet.
Mini’s are considered SM, LB, Chips and Pebbles sized models (We will also be putting pewter/micro mini sized horses in the mini division. Classic sized horses will show with the Traditionals.
All horses no matter of run size can show in 1 breed class. Classes will be split as required.
Any horse can enter any number of different performance classes as
owners see fit.
NAN CARDS
NAMHSA approved…first and second place horses in both breed and collectibility/workmanship will recieve NAN cards.
CHAMP/RESERVE CLASSES
Only first and second placed winners will be eligible for Champ/Reserve Champ awards . We will call back those models with their ribbons, when it is time to for the judge off. Keep track of your horses ribbons.
OVERALL GRAND CHAMP/RES GRAND CHAMP CLASSES
Only winning Champ and Reserve Champ in that division will be eligible for Overall Champ & Reserve Grand Champ. Champs/Reserves in Breed and Collectibility/Workmanship will compete against one another. The judges will confer in order to pin the Grand and Reserve Grand for that division.
Youth, Novice and Fun Classes are not eligible for NAMHSA qualification.
