We are planning a model dog show in memory of the late, great, Lil Man who brought so much pleasure into the lives of all that knew him during his short life.

COOKEVILLE CLASSIC LIVE MODEL DOG EXPO RULES

 

Show Info – First Cookeville Classic Live Model Dog Expo held in memory of the amazing Lil Man!

            This show is open to all model dogs of any size, customized and OF finish, plastic, china, metal, or other material.  No limit on total number of entries – class limits are listed below.

 

Registration and Fee – FREE with entry into the model horse show!!!! Who doesn’t love free?

 

Prizes – Paper ribbons will be given to 6th place in the groups, and the Collectibility/Workmanship classes.  Custom prizes will be given to Best in Show, Best Puppy in Show, Collectibility Champion, Workmanship Champion.  Up to 5 Merit Awards may be given  along with the Champion in each division; for example, the judge will choose a BIS from among the group winners and may also give out up to 5 Awards of Merit;  the judge will choose a Collectibility Champion from among the Collectibility class winners and may also give out up to 5 Awards of Merit, and so on for all divisions.

 

Points – Since NAN does not recognize non-equine models, the NEMDE will have it’s own system for rewarding excellence in showing.  Points will be awarded based on wins, which may be accumulated to earn a NEMDE Champion of Record in conformation NEMDE ChoR), a Performance Champion of Record (NEMDE PChoR),  a Collectibility Champion of Record (CChoR – limited to OFs) or a Workmanship Championship of Record (WChoR – CMs only).  Different colored cards much like NAN cards will be given to 1st – 5th place winners in each class.  When a dog earns the title of Champion of Record, he/she will be eligible to compete in a special class for Champions of Record only.  When 15 points have been accumulated, the cards must be sent to me

to be recorded and to receive their award.  The point system will be as follows;

            Conformation points – dogs will be awarded 5 points for 1st  place, 4 points for 2cd, 3 points for 3rd, 2 points for 4th and 1 point for 5th place in each group.  When a dog earns 15 points in conformation (group) showing, he/she will become a ChoR and receive a certificate and/or medallion.

            Performance points – same as above, awarded in each class.  Dogs may enter more than one performance class.  15 points earns a PChoR.

            Collectibility/Workmanship points – same as above, awarded in each class.  Dogs may enter the only Collectibility (OFs) or Workmanship (CMs only) class which pertains to them.  15 points earns a CChoR or WChoR.              NOTE – The very first dogs to earn a ChoR, PChoR, CChoR and WChoR will receive a special award!

           

Limits – Please limit your entries to 5 per exhibitor in each class, and the Collectibility/Workmanship classes. No overall limit of dogs per exhibitor.

 

Tags – Tags should include the following information on the front - breed, sex, age and whether the dog is OF or CM.  On the other side is the exhibitor initials and name of the dog.

 

Breeds –This show is based on American Kennel Club rules and regulations where possible;  therefore, only AKC-recognized breeds may show in the Conformation.  Any pure or part-bred may be shown in Collectibility/Workmanship. For more information about AKC breeds, go to http://www.akc.org/

Conformation (Group) Division -

            Open to the above breeds only, OF or CM finish.  To be judged on the conformation and breed type set forth in the standard of excellence determined by the parent club of each breed.  Breed standards may be found on the AKC web site.  Brace class is a conformation class where two dogs of the same breed are shown together side-by-side and are judged on conformation/breed type/similarity.  Collars/leads & couplers not necessary but allowed.

 

Collectibility/Workmanship Division

            Open to any pure or part breds, realistic or not, OF or CM finish.  To be judged on rarity/collectibility (OFs) or workmanship (CMs).  Documentation is strongly requested for OFs!  OFs and CMs may be shown at the same time but will be judged separately.

 

Don’t forget to fill out and keep your cards – when your dog has earned the required number of points, send the cards to me at the address on page one to have your dog officially named a NEMDE Champion of Record!
